Based at Macclesfield District General Hospital (MDGH), Mr Kokan has treated more than 1,000 breast cancer patients and performed over 100 breast reconstructions, reductions, and augmentations in both NHS and private practice.

Mr Kokan specialises in breast cancer surgery, with a particular interest in lumpectomies combined with breast reduction (therapeutic mammoplasty), sentinel lymph node biopsy, and immediate and delayed breast reconstruction using acellular dermal matrix (such as strattice, surgimend, and veritas) and latissimus dorsi breast reconstructions. Additionally, Mr Kokan is proficient in breast reduction, augmentation, mastopexy (breast uplift), and treating developmental breast anomalies. Mr Kokan also performs nipple reconstruction, areolar tattooing, and lipomodelling.

At MDGH, Mr Kokan serves as the lead breast reconstructive surgeon and is the Principal Investigator for international breast cancer clinical trials. Mr Kokan also holds the prestigious position of Senior Clinical Advisor in Breast Surgery to the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman.
