Mr James Colville is a Consultant Aesthetic, Hand, and Reconstructive Surgeon based at St George’s Hospital NHS Trust. He also sees patients privately at various locations, including The Lister Hospital. Mr Colville has a wealth of experience and expertise in several areas, including reconstruction after skin cancer treatment, particularly following MOHs surgery, elective adult hand surgery, hand trauma, fracture fixation, soft tissue reconstruction, and cosmetic surgery for the breast and abdomen, as well as liposuction.

Mr Colville completed his medical training at University College London, graduating in 1992. Prior to this, he earned a BSc from Bristol University and an MSc in Biochemistry from King’s College London. His early medical career included posts in Orthopaedics and Plastic Surgery at The Norfolk and Norwich Hospitals. He further honed his skills with training at East Grinstead and specialist training in Newcastle and Louisville, Kentucky, a renowned hand centre in the US.

In 2005, Mr Colville was appointed as a Consultant at St George’s Hospital, specialising in adult elective and trauma surgery. He has served as the Lead Consultant for the department’s teaching programme and is currently the Lead Consultant in the Hand Department. Additionally, he is an examiner for the final plastic surgery examination and a faculty member for the national instructional hand course. Mr Colville also holds an NHS post at St Helier Hospital, where he specialises in skin cancer reconstructions and runs a general plastic surgery clinic.

Mr Colville’s areas of expertise include hand surgery, skin cancer treatment, cosmetic plastic surgery, reconstructive surgery, abdominoplasty, liposuction, cosmetic breast surgery, breast reconstruction, and the treatment of hand deformities.
