Mr James Warner is a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon specialising in surgery of the upper limb. He performs both arthroscopic and open surgery of the upper limb including joint replacement, stabilisation procedures, nerve decompresison, carpal tunnel decompressions and joint contracture release and now performs Collaginase injections for suitable Dupuytren's contractures in a new technique that has become available over the last 18 months.
Mr Warner qualified from St Andrews (1984) and Manchester Universitieis (1987) before embarking on his surgical training in the North West. His final fellowship year consisted of a 6 month National Fellowship in Hand Surgery in Manchester and a 6 month fellowship in the Upper Limb Unit at Wrightington Hospital.
Mr Warner has been a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon at the Royal Bolton Hospital and BMI Beaumont Hospital in Bolton since 1st October 1998. Mr Warner is involved in research and his work has been presented at regional and national meetings. He is currently involved in research into wrist fracture fixation. He is a member of the British Hand Society and the North West Shoulder and Elbow and North West Hand Societies.
