Mr Jason Bernard is a leading Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a subspeciality in Spinal Surgery at HCA Healthcare's The Portland Hospital. He also holds a significant post at St. Georges Healthcare Trust in South West London, where he developed the Spinal Surgery Service. This service has recently expanded to include another Orthopaedic Surgeon and a Clinical Nurse Specialist due to high demand.

Mr Bernard graduated from Glasgow University in 1990 with a Medical Degree and completed his specialist Orthopaedic training in Sheffield and London. He undertook a research Fellowship in the assessment of osteoporotic fractures, which led to an MD. He spent a year at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and was appointed Consultant in 2004.

He is heavily involved in medical education, developing and teaching courses on vertebroplasty. He is also the co-chair of the committee for implementing NICE guidelines on Metastatic Spinal Cord Compression at his NHS Trust. His areas of expertise include vertebroplasty, kyphoplasty, and scoliosis surgery. He treats conditions such as spinal deformities, tumours, bulging discs, and trauma.
