About Dr Jason Chow

Dr Jason Chow is a consultant medical oncologist at George’s University Hospitals NHS Trust, London. He completed his medical training at Imperial College School of Medicine, London, and further specialised in Medical Oncology at Guys and St Thomas’s Hospital and St George’s Hospital. He holds a master’s degree in oncology from the Institute of Cancer Research.
Dr Chow is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) and a member of the European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO) and the Association of Cancer Physicians UK (ACP). His main clinical interests are in lung cancer and upper gastrointestinal cancers, including hepatobiliary and pancreatic cancers. He joined the consultant body at St George's Hospital, London, in 2018.
As the Head of the Department of Oncology and the Upper Gastrointestinal Cancer Multi-disciplinary team lead, Dr Chow is dedicated to developing cancer diagnosis and treatment pathways. He is also involved in clinical research, serving as a principal investigator and chief investigator in several clinical trials for lung and upper gastrointestinal cancers.
Dr Chow is an honorary senior lecturer at St George's University of London, with a keen interest in teaching and training junior doctors and medical students. He is a sought-after lecturer, having been invited to speak at numerous national and international meetings. His roles in departmental senior leadership, management, staff recruitment, and clinical governance underscore his commitment to advancing oncology care.
