Dr Javeria Iqbal is a consultant breast surgeon specialising in oncoplastic and reconstructive breast surgery at The Harborne Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare UK, having been appointed in 2021.

Her areas of expertise include mammoplasties, implant based breast reconstruction and partial breast reconstruction utilising perforator flaps. She regularly treats breast cancer, ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS), benign breast disease, gynaecomastia, breast asymmetry, mastalgia, mastitis, BRCA related risk, armpit lumps and breast implant–associated ALCL.

Her clinical roles extend to breast consultations, lump excision, nipple surgery including reconstruction, acellular dermal matrix procedures, risk reducing mastectomies, sentinel lymph node biopsy, axillary clearance, and microsurgical free flap reconstruction. She also performs cosmetic breast procedures such as augmentation, reduction, uplift (mastopexy), implant exchange or removal, fat grafting to the breast and excision of benign lesions, cysts and skin tags. Abscess incision, liposuction and video consultations form part of her comprehensive practice.

Dr Iqbal trained in general surgery at King Fahad Medical City in Riyadh and completed her undergraduate studies at Khyber Medical College in Peshawar, Pakistan. She was awarded the Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR) in oncoplastic breast surgery in 2021.

She is multilingual, fluent in English, Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, Arabic, Pashto and Pushto. Her broad professional interests include advancing oncoplastic techniques, surgical education and improving patient centred care.
