Miss Jennifer Hu is an oncoplastic and reconstruction breast consultant at Barts NHS Trust and also sees patients privately at London Bridge Hospital. She was appointed in early 2013 as the lead screening surgeon for the Central and East London Breast Screening Service. For the past three years, she has served as the clinical lead of breast services at Barts.

Miss Hu specialises in the care of patients with early and advanced breast cancer. She undertakes all aspects of resectional and reconstructive breast surgery, collaborating with plastic surgical colleagues on autologous free flap reconstructions. Her areas of expertise include breast surgery, breast genetics, and breast cancer. Miss Hu completed her surgical training primarily in London after graduating from the United Medical and Dental Schools of Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital. She also holds a PhD in the treatment of breast cancer, focusing on the use of a novel oncolytic virus. Additionally, she has a specialist interest in counselling and risk-reducing surgery for high-risk patients, as well as revisional reconstructive breast surgery. In her role, Miss Hu is dedicated to providing comprehensive care and advanced surgical options for her patients, ensuring the best possible outcomes in breast cancer treatment and reconstruction.
