About Miss Jess McMicking

GMC number: 7556451

Year qualified: 2010

Place of primary qualification: School of Medicine Griffith University

Dr Jess McMicking is a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist practising in London, specialising in private maternity and women’s health care.

Jess trained in Sydney, Australia, bringing a global perspective to her practice, and subsequently completed her fellowship in obstetrics and gynaecology at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust in London. She currently works at both NHS and private settings.

Her areas of expertise include high-risk obstetrics, gestational diabetes, inflammatory bowel disease in pregnancy, benign gynaecology, interventional obstetrics and tailored antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care. Jess believes strongly in continuity of care — guiding women through their entire pregnancy journey, building trusted relationships and providing personal, attentive support.

As a university-qualified nutritionist, Jess integrates nutritional health into her obstetric practice, advising on diet and lifestyle alongside clinical care to support maternal and foetal wellbeing. Outside direct clinical work she has an interest in medical education, mentor-supervision and quality improvement in women’s health services.

In her private practice, Jess aims to deliver a bespoke, compassionate and empowering service: she works closely with women and their families to shape individualised care plans, respond to preferences around birth and recovery, and help navigate every stage of the journey with clarity and confidence.
