Dr Kalu Ogbureke is a consultant paediatrician with over 20 years of medical experience. He practises at BMI The Blackheath Hospital, The Harley Street Clinic, The Portland Hospital, and Chiswick Medical Centre. Additionally, he sees patients at the Frimley Health NHS Trust. Dr Ogbureke specialises in neonatal and respiratory medicine.

Dr Ogbureke's areas of interest include respiratory diseases, asthma in children, food allergies, vaccines, feeding the newborn, and neonatology. He is highly skilled in treating a wide range of paediatric conditions and is dedicated to providing the highest standard of care to his young patients.

Dr Ogbureke qualified in 1987 from the University of Nigeria and obtained a Diploma in Child Health at the Royal College of Physicians, London in 1995. He completed his specialist training in paediatrics at King's College Hospital, London.

Actively involved in research, Dr Ogbureke was the local co-ordinator at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for the EPICure 2 study, which examined perinatal outcomes for preterm babies in the UK and Ireland. He has numerous publications in medical journals and has experience in conducting controlled trials and systematic reviews.

Dr Ogbureke is also passionate about teaching and mentoring. He mentors junior medical students and nurses and has held the title of Chief Medical Director at Delta State University Teaching Hospital, Nigeria. Additionally, he has served as an examiner for Guy's, St Thomas', and King's College Medical Schools. He has twice been invited to speak as a guest lecturer at the Annual Scientific Conference of the Paediatric Association of Nigeria.
