Dr Shanti Raju is an accomplished gynaecologist with a wealth of experience, specialising in minimal access and robotic gynaecological surgery. She is dedicated to providing her patients with state-of-the-art treatment and has been a prominent figure in the field for over 30 years.

Dr Raju previously served as a Senior Consultant Gynaecologist and Gynaecological Oncologist at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Hospital until 2011. She has held significant positions, including Lead Clinician for Gynaecological Cancer at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Trust/South London Cancer Centre. Additionally, she served as the Director of Subspecialty Training in Gynaecological Cancers at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Trust and acted as a Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists Preceptor for laparoscopic training.

With accreditations as a gynaecological oncologist, colposcopist, minimal access surgeon, and robotic surgeon, Dr Raju is well-versed in various areas of her field. She is also an author of numerous scientific publications in general gynaecology, gynaecological precancers and cancers, and minimal access and robotic surgery in gynaecology.

Her areas of interest cover a wide range of topics, including fibroids, robotics, miscarriage, ovarian, uterine, and cervical cancer, endometriosis, menopause management, minimal access/invasive surgery, colposcopy, laparoscopic procedures, cervical screening, cervix disorders, menstrual disorders, vulval disorders, incontinence, urogynaecology, and gynaecological oncology.

Dr Raju has dedicated over 30 years to conducting and participating in basic science and clinical studies in gynaecology and oncology. She has over 40 publications in peer-reviewed international journals to her name.

Committed to medical education, Dr Raju regularly shares her knowledge through lectures and talks to GP groups and in courses for postgraduate doctors and consultants.
