Dr Laura Kenny is a Consultant in Medical Oncology, specialising in breast cancer. She completed her medical training at Queen's University Belfast and pursued a PhD in translational molecular imaging at Imperial College London. Dr Kenny's NHS clinical practice is based at Charing Cross and Hammersmith Hospitals, part of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, and she also sees patients privately. Additionally, she serves as a Clinical Senior Lecturer at Imperial College.

Dr Kenny's research has focused on novel PET radiotracers for studying proliferation, angiogenesis, and choline metabolism in breast cancer patients. Her work has been published in prestigious journals such as Cancer Research and the Journal of Nuclear Medicine. In 2010, she was awarded a NIHR/MRC clinician scientist fellowship to develop new imaging methods for predicting drug resistance and sensitivity in cancer patients.

In her role as Director of Early Phase Clinical Trials in Cancer, Dr Kenny aims to expedite clinical drug development through innovative trial approaches. She has also received an MRC DPFS project grant to study a new Affibody probe targeting her2 expression in breast cancer, collaborating with leading oncology centres in the UK. Dr Kenny's expertise includes chemotherapy and the treatment of breast cancer, and she has been recognised with several awards, including the American Association of Cancer Research Young Investigator Award and the British Cancer Research Meeting Translational Research Award.
