Leo Chiu is a Chartered Physiotherapist and Strength & Conditioning Coach with more than 20 years of experience in the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal and sports-related injuries. He is the founder of Leo Chiu Physiotherapy and is dedicated to helping patients reduce pain, restore function, optimise performance and improve long-term physical health.
Leo graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from Brunel University in 2003 and has worked across both NHS and private healthcare settings. His experience includes senior physiotherapy roles at leading London hospitals, where he developed expertise in musculoskeletal rehabilitation, sports injury management and evidence-based physiotherapy.
His clinical expertise includes physiotherapy, pain management, joint mobilisation, soft tissue therapy, sports injury rehabilitation, gait analysis, acupuncture and strength and conditioning. He treats a wide range of conditions, including back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, lower limb injuries, tendon disorders and post-operative rehabilitation. His approach focuses on identifying the root cause of symptoms and creating personalised treatment plans tailored to each patient's goals and lifestyle.
Leo has a particular interest in combining hands-on physiotherapy with rehabilitation and performance training, helping patients recover from injury, improve resilience and reduce the risk of future problems.
