Mr Kangesu qualified in medicine in 1986 from Kings College University of London. He has been a consultant plastic surgeon since 1998. He is consultant at Great Ormond Street Hospital, London and St Andrews Centre, Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford. He specialises in cosmetic surgery, paediatric plastic surgery (cleft lip and palate, hypospadias and birth marks), vascular anomalies and skin lesions and skin cancer.

In cleft care he is one of the UK’s specialist surgeons and performs primary repair of cleft lip and palate as well as secondary stage surgery, speech surgery and septorhinoplasty.
