Miss Louisa Ferguson is a distinguished specialist in paediatric otolaryngology and cleft lip and palate surgery. She consults privately at The Portland Hospital for Women and Children. Miss Ferguson holds the unique distinction of being the only surgeon in the UK qualified in both cleft and ENT subspecialties.

Miss Ferguson has a comprehensive interest in all aspects of paediatric ENT, with particular expertise in airway management, sleep apnoea, facial plastic surgery, and palatal dysfunction affecting speech. She completed her medical degree at Edinburgh University and underwent surgical training in London and the West of Scotland. Further honing her skills, she spent two years in fellowship positions at the Evelina Children’s Hospital and the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, Australia.

In addition to her clinical work, Miss Ferguson has contributed significantly to medical literature, authoring multiple textbook chapters and peer-reviewed papers. She serves as the ENT UK representative on the UK-wide Surgical Training Interface Group Committee for Cleft Lip and Palate Surgery. Her dedication to surgical leadership and education is evident through her completion of the Surgical Leadership and Management Programme at Harvard Medical School.

Miss Ferguson is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and an active member of several professional organisations, including the British Association of Paediatric Otolaryngology (BAPO), the European Society of Paediatric Otorhinolaryngology (ESPO), the British Society of Facial Plastic Surgery (BSFPS), ENT UK, and the Cleft and Craniofacial Society of the UK and Ireland.
