Miss Louise Olson is a consultant urological surgeon with approximately 14 years of experience, practising at HCA UK at The Wilmslow Hospital and holding a consultant role at Salford Royal Foundation Trust since 2019. She graduated from the University of Manchester in 2010, completed core surgical training and higher urology specialist training in the North West Deanery, and achieved her FRCS (Urol) in 2018. She also holds a postgraduate certificate in medical education with distinction in leadership.

She performs general and core urology care, with a specialist focus on male lower urinary tract reconstruction, functional and neuro-urology. She established and currently leads the Northern Care Alliance multidisciplinary team for urethral, neuro- and functional urology.

She is actively involved in postgraduate education, serving as education lead for her department since 2021, and supporting the development of advanced care practitioners and physician associates. During her training she held a national role as trainee representative on the British Association of Urological Surgeons Education Committee from 2016 to 2018 and was nominated for a national cystoscope award.

Her subspecialties include female functional urology, male and female incontinence, neuro-urology, and reconstructive urology. She performs a wide range of procedures, including cystoscopy, bladder Botox injections, bladder instillations, bladder neck incisions, circumcision, day-case procedures, hydrocelectomy, prostate imaging and testing, laser stone fragmentation, ureteroscopy, urethroplasty, urodynamics, prostatectomy (TURP), and vasectomy.

She treats a comprehensive array of urological conditions such as bladder disorders, bladder pain, bladder neck obstruction, bladder stones, blood in urine, cystitis, interstitial cystitis, obstructive uropathy, overflow incontinence, urethral stricture, urinary retention, and urinary tract infections.
