About Dr Louise Turnbull
Dr Louise Turnbull is a UK-trained consultant paediatrician with dual expertise in general paediatrics and paediatric respiratory medicine, offering over 19 years of experience. She delivers high-quality, family-centred care and provides private consultations for children with a wide range of medical and respiratory conditions.
She graduated from the University of Manchester in 2005 and completed her paediatric training across the North West of England, achieving her Certificate of Completion of Training in general paediatrics. She pursued subspecialty training in paediatric respiratory medicine, and since 2016 has served as a consultant at one of the UK’s largest specialist paediatric centres.
She specialises in children’s lung and breathing health, managing conditions such as difficult-to-treat asthma, chronic cough and noisy breathing (including wheeze, croup and stridor), recurrent chest infections and bronchiectasis, dysfunctional breathing including exercise-induced symptoms, and tuberculosis. As the regional paediatric TB lead, she oversees and runs services for children with tuberculosis and contributes to training and pathway development at a national level.
She is also a fully qualified general paediatrician and is happy to see children with a broad range of general medical concerns—from feeding and growth challenges to tummy pains, infections, and developmental issues. She strongly believes in open communication and collaborative partnerships with parents to ensure children receive the best possible care in a supportive and reassuring environment.
