Dr Lucinda Green is a highly experienced Consultant Perinatal Psychiatrist with over 20 years of expertise in providing specialised care and treatment for women experiencing mental health issues during pregnancy, planning a pregnancy, or in the postnatal period. Dr Green currently sees private patients at The Portland Hospital.

Dr Green began her distinguished career as a Consultant Perinatal Psychiatrist at St Thomas' Hospital, part of the South London & Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, where she served from 2002 to 2016. She then moved to West London NHS Trust, where she held the position of Perinatal Clinical Lead until 2018.

A recognised leader in perinatal mental health service development, Dr Green is passionately committed to ensuring that women receive high-quality mental health care during pregnancy and after birth. She has chaired both the South London and North West London Clinical Networks for the Pan London Perinatal Mental Health Network and co-authored the London Perinatal Mental Health Care Pathways. Additionally, she contributed to the British Association for Psychopharmacology’s consensus guidelines on the use of psychotropic medication preconception, during pregnancy, and postpartum.

Dr Green has extensive experience in training healthcare professionals, including midwives, health visitors, obstetricians, GPs, and mental health professionals, to enhance the care provided to women with mental health problems during pregnancy and the postnatal period. She is the Joint Clinical Lead for the Perinatal Masterclass Programme at the Royal College of Psychiatrists and serves as a Visiting Lecturer in Perinatal Mental Health at the Tavistock & Portman NHS Foundation Trust.
