Mr Mehboob Mirza tends to spend time out of work with his family. He has been a Sutton Coldfield resident for over 12 years. His two daughters study at the local Grammar School for girls where Mr Mirza is a parent governor. He is interested in local, national and international politics. Mr Mirza read on various subjects from history to travel and religion to fiction. As part of clinical tutor at Birmingham Medical School, he provides mentoring to medical students. One of his keen interests is undergraduate medical education. Mr Mehboob Mirza qualified from Karachi, Pakistan and completed his basic surgical training in Cambridge. After the fellowship examinations from London & Edinburgh, he remained in West Midlands. During the last six years. He has completed higher surgical training in the region with specialist training in Breast surgery. During Mr Mirza's stay at Good Hope Hospital, he managed to complete his Masters in Medical Sciences (M Med Sci) from Keele University. He has been in a substantive Consultant Surgeon post at Sandwell & West Birmingham NHS trust with sessions both at Sandwell and City Hospitals, Birmingham. SWBH breast unit is one of the largest screening units that provides screening mammography and assessment to women in birmingham including from Sutton Coldfield & Four Oaks. Mr Mehboob Mirza is offering Breast surgery services at Spire Little Aston Hospital. His practice involves management of benign and malignant diseases of Breast. Symptomatic and Screen detected cancers are dealt with according to current guidelines and offer full range of breast surgery including sentinel node biopsy and advice on reconstruction. His interests include screening uptake in BME groups, primary hormonal therapy for breast cancer. Part of his practice also involves dealing with general surgical cases including laparoscopic cholecystectomy and hernia surgery.
