Mr Hamish is a highly experienced Consultant Specialist in General and Vascular Surgery, currently practising at Northampton General Hospital and Kettering General Hospital. He also holds weekly clinics for both private and NHS patients at BMI Three Shires in Northampton and Woodland Hospital in Kettering.

Mr Hamish's medical journey began with his medical school and basic surgical training, followed by specialist training in general, laparoscopic, and endocrine surgery at Leeds General Infirmary and Derriford Hospital in Plymouth. In 2005, he completed his research degree at Imperial College London. He then expanded his expertise with over four years of vascular, endovascular, and organ transplantation surgical training at Charing Cross and Hammersmith Hospitals in London. His international experience includes three years as a Senior Consultant Surgeon in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery on the Sunshine Coast in Australia.

As a vascular specialist, Mr Hamish treats a comprehensive range of vascular diseases, including aortic aneurysm, carotid artery disease, diabetic foot complications, and peripheral arterial disease. He also addresses general conditions such as haemorrhoids, lumps and bumps, and hernias.

Mr Hamish has a particular interest in the minimally-invasive treatment of varicose veins. He frequently performs procedures such as endovenous laser treatment (EVLT), radiofrequency ablation, and foam sclerotherapy. Beyond his clinical duties, he is dedicated to training fellow surgeons in these advanced techniques, both within the UK and internationally.

Mr Hamish is known for his careful and considerate approach to patient care, ensuring that dignity, safety, and confidentiality are always maintained. Outside of his professional life, he enjoys swimming and horse-riding with his two children.
