Prof. Marc Winslet is a Consultant Colorectal Surgeon with interests in gastro-intestinal tract disease and surgery, colorectal (bowel) cancer, bowel disease including IBD and colorectal surgery.
He qualified from the Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine, University of London in 1981 and was appointed FRCS Eng, Edinburgh in 1985. He was awarded the degree of Master of Surgery by the University of London in 1987 and a year later was Hunterian Professor at the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
Prof. Marc Winslet is currently the Clinical Head of Surgery and Clinical Lead for Colorectal Surgery at the Royal Free, Head of Department of Upper GI Surgery at UCLH, and Head of the North London Cancer Network Upper GI Tumour Board.
He is also a writer and an editor, having published over 250 peer-review articles and contributed multiple chapters to standard surgical textbook, as well having been co-editor of the Journal of Colorectal Disease for the past 14 years.
Prof. Marc Winslet has lectured nationally and internationally in the fields of upper GI and colorectal surgery.
