Dr Mark Aitken is a highly experienced General Practitioner based at Roodlane Medical in London. He graduated with merit from University College Hospital London in 1999 and has since built a diverse medical career. Dr Aitken has worked in various countries, including the UK, New Zealand, and Australia, gaining valuable experience in emergency medicine, paediatrics, obstetrics & gynaecology, neonatology, and general medicine.

After completing his General Practice training, Dr Aitken served as an army doctor for two years, where he provided medical care to soldiers and their families. This role allowed him to develop expertise in sports medicine and occupational health. In 2006, he obtained the MRCGP qualification and subsequently worked as a General Practitioner in Western Australia for four years. During this period, he also specialised in skin cancer surgery, earning a certificate from the University of Queensland.

Dr Aitken holds a Masters in Human Molecular Genetics and has published two journal papers, showcasing his commitment to medical research. He joined Roodlane Medical in April 2011, where he continues to offer high-quality care to his patients. His areas of expertise include contraception advice, emergency contraception, flu vaccines, immunisations, and stress management. He treats a wide range of conditions such as asthma, diabetes, high blood pressure, and mental health issues.
