Dr Mark Westwood is a distinguished cardiologist based at 120 Old Broad Street and London Bridge Hospital. He holds a prominent position at St Bartholomew's Hospital, London. His specialisation lies in cardiac CT and MRI, with a keen interest in chest pain, shortness of breath, palpitations, and cardio-oncology. Dr Westwood is the current president of the British Society of Cardiac MRI and serves as the vice president for training and education in cardiology in the UK.

Dr Westwood's academic journey began with an MA from St John’s College, Oxford in 1994, followed by a qualification in Medicine from St Bartholomew’s and London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 1997. He earned his Doctorate of Medicine from Imperial College London in 2005. He is the Director of Medical Education at Barts Heart Centre, overseeing the training of junior medical staff, and the Training Programme Director for Cardiology for the North East Thames region.

In addition to his clinical roles, Dr Westwood is actively involved in research on cardiac MRI and offers educational courses to GPs. His expertise extends to procedures such as CT coronary angiograms, ECG monitoring, and calcium coronary scoring.
