Dr Michael Bellamy is a Consultant Cardiologist at Imperial Healthcare NHS Trust (Hammersmith), specialising in Cardiac Imaging/Echocardiography and Interventional Cardiology. He also practices at private hospitals in London, including HCA Harley Street Clinic, HSC Diagnostic Centre at 16 Devonshire Street, and The Wellington Hospital.

Dr Bellamy conducts general cardiology clinics, addressing a wide range of cardiology issues. He co-leads the Imperial Percutaneous Mitral Valve Programme and is involved in Valve Clinics and Specialist Echocardiography. He is part of the on-call rota for the West London Heart Attack Centre at Hammersmith Hospital, performing emergency PCI (stenting) procedures and elective coronary artery disease work.

He is proficient in various cardiac imaging diagnostic procedures, including echo, stress echo, transoesophageal echo, and 3D valve assessments. He holds accreditations from the British Society of Echocardiography and the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging.

Dr Bellamy completed his subspecialty training in echocardiography/imaging and interventional cardiology at London teaching hospitals and through international fellowships at Mayo Clinic, USA, and St Vincent's University Hospital, Australia. He has been actively involved in teaching at Imperial College School of Medicine and has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals.

His research interests focus on valve disease and percutaneous mitral valve interventions, including MitraClip. Dr Bellamy has received numerous awards and scholarships, reflecting his dedication and expertise in cardiology. He has been a consultant since 2003 and continues to contribute significantly to the field.
