    Dr Mohamed Al-Aloul is a highly esteemed Consultant Physician specialising in Respiratory Medicine at Wythenshawe Hospital. With a career spanning over two decades, Dr Al-Aloul has performed more than 5000 bronchoscopies and over 1500 transbronchial biopsies. He is the co-lead for the Pleural Disease Group at Wythenshawe Hospital, demonstrating his commitment to advancing respiratory care.

    Dr Al-Aloul graduated from the University of Dundee in 1996, where he also completed his basic surgical training. His interest in respiratory medicine was sparked during his time at the Mersey Deanery, where he conducted a thesis on the nephrotoxicity effects of antibiotics in cystic fibrosis patients. In 2005, he was appointed as a Consultant Respiratory and Transplant Physician at the University Hospital of South Manchester.

    In 2007, Dr Al-Aloul founded the Association of Lung Transplant Physicians, an initiative aimed at streamlining patient referrals and expanding the lung donor pool. He is also an active member of the International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation, reflecting his dedication to the field of transplant medicine.
