Mr Morad Sallam is a consultant vascular surgeon at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust (GSTT) in London, UK. He has been serving in this role since his appointment in 2003. Mr Sallam is also an honorary senior lecturer at King's College London, where he plays a pivotal role in the education and training of future vascular surgeons. He is the cardiovascular block lead for KCL medical students at GSTT, demonstrating his commitment to medical education.
Mr Sallam's areas of expertise include open thoracoabdominal and complex aortic aneurysm repair, arch/thoracic aneurysms endovascular procedures, redo aortic surgery, varicose veins treatment, hybrid repair, and managing vascular infections. He co-leads the largest tertiary referral aortic infection service in the UK, which is also one of the biggest in Europe.
Mr Sallam graduated with honours in 2003 and began his surgical training in general and vascular surgery at Cairo University Hospital. He later completed his advanced training in the UK. His special interests lie in complex vascular procedures and he is dedicated to advancing the field through both his clinical work and his educational roles.
