Mr Nagarajan Muthialu is a distinguished cardiothoracic surgeon at Great Ormond Street Hospital, specialising in cardiac, thoracic, and tracheal diseases in children, including transplantation. He earned his medical degree from the University of Bangalore, where he was awarded the Price Memorial Prize for achieving the highest mark in his class. Since then, he has received numerous accolades in various fields such as surgery, ophthalmology, chest diseases, and pathology.

Mr Muthialu is an active member of the International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation and the European Association of Cardiothoracic Surgeons. He is deeply involved in research, including a NIHR-funded project focused on the risk categorisation of paediatric and congenital cardiac surgery. His academic contributions are extensive, with numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and regular presentations at national and international conferences.
