Mr Nico Jonas is a highly qualified Consultant Otolaryngologist, specialising in both General Adult and Paediatric Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) surgery. He is based at Addenbrooke's Hospital, part of the Cambridge University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Mr Jonas is renowned for performing a range of complex paediatric ENT procedures, including airway surgery and reconstruction. He also offers private consultations at The Portland Hospital in London, Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital, and Nuffield Health Cambridge Hospital.

Mr Jonas completed his postgraduate specialty training in ENT surgery in 2007 at Groote Schuur Hospital in Cape Town, South Africa. He then pursued sub-specialty training, which included working at the Irish Cochlear Implant Unit at Beaumont Hospital in Dublin, Ireland, and fellowships in Paediatric ENT at Starship Children's Hospital in Auckland, New Zealand. Additionally, he gained valuable experience at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London. Following his training, Mr Jonas served as a Consultant at Great Ormond Street Hospital and later at Guys' and St Thomas' Hospital before taking up his current position at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge.

With extensive training and experience, Mr Jonas is well-equipped to provide the highest quality care for a wide range of ENT conditions in both adults and children. His specialist areas of interest include adeno-tonsillar disease, neck lumps, nosebleeds, nasal allergies, ear and hearing problems, airway disease, snoring, and sleep apnoea. Mr Jonas is also passionate about research and has published numerous peer-reviewed research articles and authored several academic book chapters, contributing significantly to the advancement of the ENT field.

Outside of his professional life, Mr Jonas enjoys spending time with his wife and their four children. He is an avid sportsman, with a particular interest in canoeing and running marathons, including ultra marathons.
