    As a consultant orthopaedic surgeon, Mr Nitin Shetty is an expert in minimally-invasive surgery (MIS), degenerative conditions affecting the back and neck, and infections and fractures of the spine. His special interests are in minimally-invasive lumbar decompression and fixation, microdiscectomy, cervical decompression and fusion, spinal injections, vertebroplasty, kyphoplasty, fracture fixations, and spinal infection.

    Mr Shetty graduated in medicine and completed a postgraduate degree in Orthopaedics from India. He then trained as a registrar on the London-KSS deanery and completed two spinal fellowships at Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore and Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospital. He is a member of the General Medical Council, the British Association of Spinal Surgeons, and the North American Spinal Society.

    Mr Shetty has published articles in peer-reviewed journals and has presented at national and international conferences. He is actively involved in teaching and training of junior trainees and orthopaedic registrars.
