Dr Oudai Ali is a highly skilled Consultant Gynaecologist based at New Victoria Hospital with over 10 years of experience in gynaecology, colposcopy, and gynaecological oncology. He completed his medical degree at Saddam College of Medicine, Iraq in 1997 before moving to the UK. He later completed his specialised training in colposcopy, oncology, and advanced laparoscopy for endometriosis in the Wessex Deanery in 2012.
Dr Ali's clinical interests span across various areas, including minimal access surgery, oncology, colposcopy, advanced gynaecology, scanning, and vulval disorders. With a passion for developing services in ambulatory gynaecology and achieving high standards in minimal access surgery, Dr Ali has an excellent record of service development and enhancement. He has been instrumental in implementing enhanced recovery programs and has achieved exceptional outcomes for his patients. He has also been actively involved in surgical audit and the standardisation of techniques, recognising their importance in ensuring optimal patient care and safety.
Alongside his clinic work, Dr Ali holds the role of a Tutor with the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. He has also facilitated and participated in advanced courses both nationally and internationally, contributing to the ongoing education and skill development of healthcare practitioners. As a leading colposcopist, Dr Ali has also trained numerous staff members who have successfully obtained their British certification. He has made significant contributions to service development and audits, ensuring the highest standards of care for patients. He also leads the teaching and research on the novel technique of Vnote and spearheads the enhanced recovery program in south London.
