Mr Paul Fenton is a highly experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon based in Birmingham. He has been serving as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon since 2015 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, a renowned tertiary centre and Major Trauma Centre for Birmingham and the surrounding areas.
Mr Fenton completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Edinburgh before continuing his medical and surgical training in Birmingham. He further honed his expertise through specialist training fellowships in Bristol, focusing on limb reconstruction and trauma, and in Sheffield, specialising in foot and ankle surgery. Additionally, he completed an AO Trauma fellowship in Tampa, Florida, under the mentorship of Dr Roy Sanders.
Mr Fenton has a particular interest in complex lower limb trauma, post-trauma limb reconstruction surgery, and foot and ankle surgery. He is proficient in performing forefoot surgeries, including bunion correction, lesser toe correction, hallux rigidus surgery, toenail surgery, and surgeries on soft tissue lesions of the foot, such as ganglions and neuromas. His professional memberships include AO Trauma and the Orthopaedic Trauma Society.
In addition to his clinical work, Mr Fenton is dedicated to education and research. He teaches on regional and national courses, maintains active research interests with frequent peer-reviewed publications, and serves as an Associate Editor of Trauma.
