He is currently affiliated with The Portland Hospital, where he has developed a renowned Congenital Hand Surgery Service. Mr Smith began his medical journey at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, earning his MBBS in 1968. He further honed his skills in Glasgow, London, Louisville, and Duke University, North Carolina.
