Mr Peter Barton-Smith is a highly esteemed medical specialist in complex robotic and minimally invasive surgery for benign gynaecological conditions. His primary focus is on treating pelvic pain and subfertility related to endometriosis, as well as addressing uterine fibroids and abnormal bleeding. He is the Director of The Endometriosis Clinic Ltd in London.

Peter Barton-Smith completed a four-year fellowship at the Minimal Access Therapy Training Unit (MATTU) at the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford from 2004 to 2008, where he earned a doctorate degree in endometriosis. In 2008, he trained in the use of the da Vinci© robotic surgical system during his tenure as a Visiting Consultant at the North Texas Hospital in Dallas, USA. Following this, he established the first and leading UK robotic gynaecological surgery programme at the Royal Surrey, performing over 600 procedures and becoming the most experienced gynaecologist in robotic surgery in the UK.

In 2013, Mr Barton-Smith moved to Singapore to serve as the Chief of the Minimally Invasive and Robotic Surgery Section in the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department at Singapore General Hospital. He returned to the UK in 2016 to start The Endometriosis Clinic, which is currently based at The Princess Grace Hospital. The Clinic offers a unique multidisciplinary, holistic, and personalised approach to treating pelvic pain and endometriosis, attracting women from around the world who seek effective solutions after years of searching.

Mr Barton-Smith continues to be an international authority in endometriosis and robotic surgery, sharing his expertise by teaching other specialists worldwide.
