Mr Peter Cooke is a distinguished urological surgeon and cancer specialist at the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust. With over 20 years of experience, he is highly specialised in diagnostic urology, benign prostate and scrotal surgery, as well as prostate and bladder cancer. Mr Cooke is renowned for his expertise in laparoscopic and robotic surgery, having performed over 1500 complex urological cases, including more than 1000 robotic radical prostatectomies.

In 2010/11, Mr Cooke was the pioneering surgeon to introduce da Vinci robot-assisted surgery in the Midlands region, significantly advancing the surgical capabilities at the Royal Wolverhampton Hospitals NHS Trust. He is currently the Clinical Lead in Urology for the Black Country and West Birmingham Integrated Care System. His previous roles include Clinical Director in Urology, chair of the Trust Senior Medical Staff Committee, and chair of the West Midlands Cancer Alliance Urology Expert Advisory Group.

Mr Cooke has a special interest in the treatment of prostate and bladder cancer and is ranked among the top 20 prostate cancer surgeons in the UK. His dedication to his field is evident through his numerous publications in esteemed international journals such as The Lancet. He has also presented his work at various national and international conferences across Europe and the USA.

In 2007, Mr Cooke founded Midlands Urology, where he has built a thriving and innovative private practice alongside his specialist colleagues. His contributions to the field of urology are widely recognised, and he is a respected member of several professional organisations, including the Royal College of Surgeons of England, the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland, the British Association of Urological Surgeons, the European Association of Urology, and the American Urological Association.
