Dr Kabunga is a highly skilled cardiologist specialising in cardiac electrophysiology. He qualified in 2001 from St George’s Hospital Medical School, London (LMSSA). Dr Kabunga completed his junior medical training at the Royal Free Hospital, London, and his senior specialist cardiology training at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. He currently practices at Darent Valley Hospital, Kent, and Kings College Hospital, London.

Dr Kabunga is accredited in cardiac electrophysiology by the British Heart Rhythm Society (BHRS). He further enhanced his expertise by completing a graduate diploma in Cardiac Electrophysiology in Australia and a two-year advanced Fellowship in Cardiac Pacing and Electrophysiology at the prestigious Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney, Australia.

During his time in Australia, Dr Kabunga was recognised for his outstanding contributions to the field. He won the best presentation award at the ANZ ECG & Arrhythmia Symposium in Sydney and the Australasian Cardiac Devices Conference Quiz, also in Sydney. Additionally, he was awarded the Young Investigator Award (second place) at the European Society of Cardiology in Vienna, Austria, for his work in coronary pathophysiology and microcirculation.

Dr Kabunga's areas of expertise include the treatment of atrial fibrillation, heart rhythm disorders, and various arrhythmias. He is proficient in electrophysiology procedures, including ablation, and the implantation of loop recorders, pacemakers, and cardiac defibrillators (ICD). He also treats conditions such as palpitations, syncope (blackouts and collapse), and dizzy spells.

Since his appointment, Dr Kabunga has been dedicated to providing exceptional care to his patients, utilising his extensive training and experience to manage and treat complex cardiac conditions. His commitment to advancing the field of cardiology and improving patient outcomes is evident in his clinical practice and ongoing contributions to medical research.
