Dr Peter Macfarlane is a highly experienced General Practitioner based in the UK. He has been practising medicine since 2003, gaining extensive experience in both NHS and private hospitals, as well as in general practice and other medical settings. Dr Macfarlane joined Roodlane Medical in 2009 after obtaining his Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP).
Dr Macfarlane graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand in 1987. Following his postgraduate training, he specialised in Sports Medicine in Cape Town, where he earned a BSc degree in Sports Science. During his time in Cape Town, he combined his interest in Sports Medicine with General Practice, providing medical care to individuals and teams up to the international level, including touring with the South African cricket team.
Since moving to the City, Dr Macfarlane has developed a keen interest in Occupational Medicine, earning his Diploma in 2012. He is also passionate about sports medicine, mental health, dermatology, and addiction treatment.
