Mr Petros Charalampoudis is a distinguished Oncoplastic and Reconstructive Breast Cancer Surgeon, currently serving as a Consultant at University College London Hospitals and Whittington Hospital. He is dedicated to providing patient-centred breast care and has a comprehensive background in breast cancer endocrinology, having obtained his Medical Degree and PhD from Athens University.
Mr Charalampoudis completed his higher surgical training in Greece and Belgium, earning his Certificate of Completion of Training in Surgery with Honours. He further honed his expertise through a 26-month Oncoplastic and Reconstructive Breast Surgery Fellowship at Guy's Hospital in London, where he was appointed Consultant in 2016. He also held an Honorary Clinical Lectureship at King's College London from 2015 to 2017.
Specialising in all aspects of benign breast disease and breast cancer, Mr Charalampoudis offers advanced oncoplastic breast conservation, sentinel node biopsy, axillary dissection, and complex therapeutic mammoplasty. He is particularly interested in neoadjuvant strategies and sentinel lymph node biopsy after chemotherapy. His surgical repertoire includes skin and nipple-sparing mastectomy with immediate implant-based reconstruction using acellular dermal matrices.
Mr Charalampoudis is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and the European Board of Breast Surgery, where he also serves as a Board Examiner.
