Mr Philip Toozshobson is a distinguished consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, specialising in Urogynaecology. He has been a dedicated medical professional since his appointment with a particular focus on pelvic floor dysfunction and maternal childbirth injury.
Mr Toozshobson's journey into Urogynaecology began during a research fellowship with the esteemed Urogynaecologist, Linda Cardozo. His thesis explored the changes to the female pelvis due to pregnancy and childbirth, igniting his passion for improving outcomes for women experiencing pelvic floor issues. Over the past 30 years, he has been actively involved in clinical research, aiming to translate findings into better patient care.
Recognised as a key opinion leader in the management of prolapse and urinary incontinence, Dr Toozshobson has published over 230 articles in the field of Urogynaecology. His current research interests include the psychological impact of urinary incontinence, the effects of obesity, and strategies to improve outcomes for women at risk of preterm birth. His significant contributions to Urogynaecology have been acknowledged by the Department of Health, earning him a national silver Clinical Excellence Award.
