Dr Piyush Jain is a consultant cardiologist currently working at private practices including Spire Bushey, Harpenden, HCA Wellington, and Elstree Waterfront Centre, as well as OSD Healthcare in Hemel Hempstead. His NHS base is West Hertfordshire Hospitals. He has been a consultant cardiologist at West Hertfordshire NHS Trust since 2017 and is the departmental lead for echocardiography and clinical governance.

Dr Jain attained his first medical qualification in 2000 and completed his medical training in North London, including at Royal Brompton and Harefield Trusts. He obtained his MRCP in 2010 and further trained in advanced cardiac imaging at Essex Cardiothoracic Centre. He now trains registrars in these specialist techniques and teaches on advanced CT courses.

In 2015, Dr Jain completed an MD (Research) at Imperial College London, supported by the Dorothy Hodgkin Post Graduate Award. His research focused on ethnic differences in markers of subclinical atherosclerosis using cardiac imaging and inflammation markers. He has presented his research at international conferences and published in high-impact journals.

Dr Jain is a member of several professional bodies, including the Royal College of Physicians, British Cardiovascular Society, and European Society of Cardiology. He has a special interest in advanced imaging techniques such as echocardiography, stress echo, transoesophageal echo, and cardiac CT.

He enjoys patient interaction, ensuring they understand their diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment plans. This approach allows for individualized medicine and shared decision-making. Dr Jain treats conditions such as hypertension, congestive heart failure, breathlessness, chest pain, valvular heart disease, heart murmurs, and palpitations.
