Dr Pratipal Kalsi is a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Neurosurgeon specialising in Spinal Surgery at The Lister Hospital. He completed his medical degree at Imperial College School of Medicine, University of London in 2003. Dr Kalsi later completed specialist fellowship training in neurosurgery and spinal surgery at the Krembil Brain Institute, University of Toronto in Canada and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in London. He was appointed as a Consultant Neurosurgeon at the Imperial College Hospitals NHS Trust in 2018.
Dr Kalsi's commitment to advancing medical knowledge is evident in his pursuit of a PhD in spinal cord injury repair and regeneration at the Institute of Neurology, UCL. Throughout his research, he investigated innovative strategies to enhance the repair of spinal cord injuries, contributing to the advancement of this critical field. His contributions to the field of spine surgery have earned him numerous accolades, including the Ronald Raven Barber Award for oncological surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons, the Codman Travelling Fellowship, and a scholarship to study spine surgery at the esteemed University of California San Francisco Department of Spinal Surgery.
