Mr Raj Lakhani is a Consultant Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon (adult and paediatric) with a specialist interest in rhinology and facial plastic surgery. He is currently practising at St George's Hospital, where he has been a valued member of the medical team since his appointment.

Mr Lakhani completed his undergraduate medical training at St Bartholomew’s and the Royal London School of Medicine and Dentistry. During his studies, he was awarded the Drapers Company Prize for academic achievement and the Research Advisory Board Award for his intercalated Bachelor's degree in Sports & Exercise Medicine. To further hone his skills, he trained at specialist tertiary and quaternary rhinology centres, including Guy’s & St Thomas’ and St George's Hospitals. His expertise was further enhanced through observerships at the world-renowned Hirslanden Klinik in Zurich and the Clinica del Viso in Milan. Additionally, he completed a year of dedicated specialist training in rhinology and facial plastic surgery at St George's Hospital.

Mr Lakhani has a strong interest in clinical research. He has published almost 30 peer-reviewed articles and has delivered 50 scientific presentations worldwide. His contributions to clinical research have been recognised with several awards, including the ‘Best Short Paper’ prize from the Royal Society of Medicine. In 2016, he was shortlisted for the Royal Society of Medicine national ‘Trainee of the Year’ award.
