Prof. Rajan Sharma is a Consultant Cardiologist based in London with over 30 years of experience in the diagnosis and management of cardiovascular disease. He practises privately at leading HCA Healthcare UK facilities, including The Wellington Hospital and 88 Harley Street. He specialises in general cardiology, heart valve disease, coronary artery disease and advanced cardiac imaging, with a particular focus on echocardiography and functional assessment of heart disease.

Prof. Sharma qualified from Guy’s and St Thomas’ Medical School and completed specialist cardiology training at major UK centres, including the Wessex Cardiothoracic Unit. He is Clinical Director for Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery at St George’s Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, where he has held a number of senior leadership roles.

His clinical expertise includes the management of coronary artery disease, heart failure, cardiomyopathy, hypertension, valvular heart disease and arrhythmias. He frequently assesses patients presenting with chest pain, breathlessness, palpitations and blackouts, providing comprehensive evaluation and personalised treatment plans.

He also has a specialist interest in preventative cardiology, microvascular angina and cardio-oncology.

Alongside his clinical work, he is actively involved in research and education, with over 100 peer-reviewed publications and regular presentations at national and international conferences.
