Dr Raj Srirajaskanthan is a consultant gastroenterologist and physician at London Bridge Hospital, Blackheath Hospital, and Kings College Hospital, London. His specialist interests include gastrointestinal cancers, irritable bowel syndrome, endoscopy, and neuroendocrine tumours (NETS). He was appointed Honorary Reader (Associate Professor) of Gastroenterology at Kings College London.

He is a nationally accredited bowel cancer screening colonoscopist and serves as the Head of the Neuroendocrine Tumour Unit of Kings Health Partners, an accredited ENETS Centre of Excellence. He is also the clinical lead of Gastroenterology at Kings College Hospital.

Dr Srirajaskanthan graduated from Guy’s, King’s, and St. Thomas’ medical school with a medical degree and an intercalated BSc. He completed his post-graduate training in hospitals across Oxford, London, and South East England. He is accomplished in endoscopy and colonoscopy and has attended numerous advanced endoscopy courses.

In 2010, he was awarded an MD (Res) from University College London following breakthrough clinical research into neuroendocrine tumours. He remains actively involved in research and has published extensively in several journals. He has written and edited three textbooks on liver disease and neuroendocrine tumours and has authored over 90 peer-reviewed papers and six book chapters. He also supervises PhD students in the field of neuroendocrine tumours.

Dr Srirajaskanthan is a member of the British Society of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterological Association, and the European Neuroendocrine Tumour Society. He is also an executive committee member of the United Kingdom and Ireland NET Society.
