Professor Ramindar Dhillon is a leading Consultant Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) Specialist. He offers comprehensive assessments and treatments across the ENT speciality, with a particular clinical interest in snoring and obstructive sleep apnoea. Professor Dhillon also has extensive experience in paediatric disorders and nasal and ear pathologies, including sinofacial pain.
Professor Dhillon graduated from Middlesex Hospital Medical School, now part of the University College London Hospital group, in 1978 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. He completed an extensive training scheme across London in the field of ENT, including surgical training and a Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons, before being appointed as a Consultant ENT in 1989.
In addition to his clinical work, Professor Dhillon is deeply involved in medical education. He is an Honorary Professor at Middlesex University and contributes significantly to the education of medical students. He has played a key role in the development and delivery of several national training programmes aimed at enhancing GP skills. As a Medical Director at Rila Institute of Health Sciences, he focuses on postgraduate education and is the programme leader for the ENT UK accredited programme on the management of altered airways.
Professor Dhillon has also served as a Department of Health Advisor for Obstructive Sleep Apnoea and has redesigned the delivery of 'snoring and Obstructive Apnoea Services' in the community healthcare setting. He is on the editorial board of the ENT UK's continuing professional development journal, 'The Otorhinolaryngologist,' and is the editor of 'Clinical Focus: Primary Care.'
