About Dr Rasha Al-Qurainy

Dr Rasha Al-Qurainy is a consultant in symptom control and palliative medicine. She is based at the University College London Hospital (UCLH) and also performs private work at several clinics. She specialises in treating patients with complex pain associated with both cancer and non-cancer diagnoses.
Dr Al-Qurainy was awarded a postgraduate degree from King's College, London in 2010 and completed her specialist consultancy training in 2012. She became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians London in 2016.
At UCLH, Dr Al-Qurainy serves as the Clinical Governance Consultant Lead for her department. She is also a Sector Lead for Specialist Palliative Medicine with Health Education England. Additionally, she is an accredited BMA negotiator and sits on the Trust's BMA Local Negotiating Committee.
Dr Al-Qurainy has published numerous clinical reviews in the British Medical Journal and has co-written revisions for the PANG national guidelines.
