Dr Rebecca Preston is an experienced and qualified Consultant Radiologist, currently serving as the radiology lead for cardiac CT at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. She has held this position since founding the cardiac CT service at the hospital. Dr Preston obtained her Medical Degree from the University of London in 1995 and received specialised training in cardiac CT in Munich before returning to the UK.

Dr Preston has specialist expertise in congenital cardiac CT, the usefulness of cardiac CT for chest pain pathways, and novel applications of cardiac CT for structural cardiac interventions. She is frequently invited to give talks at CT training days, sharing her extensive knowledge and experience with peers and trainees.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr Preston is deeply committed to training and education. She often attracts radiology trainees from around the world, providing mentorship and guidance to those looking to enter or progress within the field of radiology. Her dedication to education and her high level of skill make her an excellent mentor and a respected figure in her specialty.

Dr Preston has been responsible for overseeing the cardiac CT service at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust since its inception, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.
