Dr Richard Ang is a Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist at Homerton University Hospital and Barts Heart Centre. He has over a decade of experience in treating heart rhythm conditions, including atrial fibrillation and supraventricular tachycardias (SVTs). He is the clinical lead for SVT ablation procedures at Barts Heart Centre.

Dr Ang obtained his medical qualification from the University of London in 2002. He completed his basic and specialist cardiology training at several major teaching hospitals in London. In 2015, he was awarded a PhD from University College London, where he conducted research on heart rhythm disorders under a prestigious fellowship from the Medical Research Council.

Dr Ang is dedicated to engaging his patients in managing their health collaboratively. He sees private patients at the One Heart Clinic on Harley Street and the HCA Wellington Hospital. His areas of expertise include cardiac electrophysiology, SVT ablation, and the management of atrial fibrillation.

In addition to his clinical roles, Dr Ang is part of the Leaders in Heart Rhythm Care LLP, providing medical advisory services to HCA UK's The Wellington Hospital. He is responsible for monitoring quality, service development, and auditing to enhance patient experience. Dr Ang is also involved in developing and monitoring service key performance indicators (KPIs).

Dr Ang is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and a member of the British Cardiovascular Society and the European Society of Cardiology. He is passionate about delivering high-quality care and advancing the field of cardiology through both clinical practice and research.
