Dr Richard Levy is a leading consultant cardiologist with a sub-speciality in interventional cardiology. He provides first-class care with HCA Healthcare and has held an NHS post at Wythenshawe Hospital (MFT).
Dr Levy graduated from St. Bartholomew's Hospital in London in 1978 with a medical degree. He completed his specialist cardiology training at University College London, The Middlesex, The National Heart, and St Bartholomew's Hospitals. He was appointed as a consultant in 1993 at Wythenshawe Hospital and served as the Director of Cardiology from 2001 to 2006. During his tenure, he worked on the Greater Manchester and Cheshire Cardiac Network, where he reconfigured cardiac services and was responsible for service improvement.
In addition to his hospital roles, Dr Levy was appointed as the National Clinical Lead for the Heart Improvement Programme. In this role, he focused on redesigning the management of interhospital transfers, angina, and percutaneous intervention. He was also a member of the Department of Health Clinical Advisory Group.
Dr Levy has been heavily involved in research and was a finalist in the British Cardiac Society's Young Investigator Prize. He is accredited in both general medicine and cardiology.
When not at work, Dr Levy enjoys spending time with his family. He keeps active by playing tennis, skiing, motoring, and playing bridge.
