About Dr Robert Smith
Dr Smith is a consultant interventional cardiologist and member of the mitral valve care group and the heart failure care group. He is the clinical lead for the primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PPCI) audit at Harefield Hospital. He specialises in coronary angioplasty, mitral valve disease, implantation of permanent pacemakers, and heart failure.
Dr Smith qualified from St Bartholomew’s Hospital Medical School in 1999.
He continued with his cardiology specialist training at Harefield Hospital from 2003 to 2005; Ealing and Queen Elizabeth II hospitals from 2005 to 2007; Hammersmith Hospital from 2007 to 2008, and again at Harefield Hospital from 2008 to present.
