Dr Ron Simon is a Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist at North Middlesex University Hospital and the Barts Heart Centre. He also serves as an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Royal Free and University College Medical Schools. Dr Ron qualified in medicine from Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals, London, in 1991 and subsequently trained in Cardiology at the same institutions. He holds an MD in 3D intracardiac echocardiography imaging for complex ablations, awarded by London University.

From 2003 to 2005, Dr Simon was a visiting fellow in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology at the Medical University of South Carolina, USA. Since joining North Middlesex Hospital in 2005, he has been pivotal in establishing a specialist arrhythmia clinic, which has facilitated the direct listing of over 500 patients for ablation at the Heart Hospital. Additionally, he has played a crucial role in setting up a multidisciplinary heart failure clinic for the local catchment area and a service for catheter-based treatments of rhythm disturbances.

Dr Simon's key interests include the treatment of heart rhythm disturbances, such as ablation and device therapy, general cardiology, heart failure treatment, and medical education.
