Prof. Ronak Rajani is a Consultant Cardiologist specialising in heart valve disease and advanced cardiac imaging at The Harley Street Clinic, part of HCA Healthcare UK. He has a particular interest in heart failure, inherited cardiac conditions, structural heart interventions, and cardiac surgery. Prof. Rajani is dedicated to assessing overall cardiovascular risk and detecting coronary disease in patients. He currently serves as the Chairperson for Cardiac Imaging Stream across HCA Healthcare UK, London.

In addition to his role at The Harley Street Clinic, Prof. Rajani is the cardiology lead for cardiac computed tomography (CT) at the Guy’s Valve Clinic and a Professor of Cardiovascular Imaging at King’s College London. He also holds the position of NIHR speciality group lead for cardiovascular services across south London and represents the Royal College of Physicians and the British Cardiovascular Society for South East London. His expertise is further recognised through his involvement in the clinical advisory group for specialised commissioning of cardiac services with NHS England.

Prof. Rajani received his medical training at the Royal Brompton Hospital in London and the Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles. His distinguished career includes multiple awards and fellowships, such as the British Cardiovascular Society/American College of Cardiology Fellowship in Advanced Cardiac Imaging. He has accredited training in cardiac CT and founded the UK's first dedicated training courses for structural heart disease imaging.

Completing his echocardiography-based MD thesis in 2006, Prof. Rajani maintains an active research interest in applying cardiac CT to predict cardiac risk. He has published over 230 manuscripts in the field of cardiac imaging and is the Principal Investigator on multiple trials. His contributions to medical literature include chapters in several esteemed textbooks, such as the ESC Textbook of Cardiovascular Imaging and the Oxford Handbook of Cardiac CT.

Prof. Rajani is also involved in various professional committees and editorial boards. He sits on the International Sub-committee and Abstract Grading Committee of the Society of Cardiovascular CT and serves as an Advisory Editor for Clinical Radiology and a Section Editor on Cardiovascular Imaging for Euro Intervention. He is a Fellow of the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (FSCCT), the European Society of Cardiology (FESC), the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP), the American College of Cardiology (FACC), and the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR).
